Description
WEG CFW500 KPCSF Installation, Configuration and Operation Guide
The WEG CFW500 G2 NEMA 4X/IP66 washdown drive brings the CFW500 platform into a sealed enclosure for motor speed control outside the control panel. The enclosure protects against dust and water jets from any direction, so the drive can be installed indoors or outdoors, including in direct sunlight. It is well suited to pumps, fans, blowers, conveyors, rollout tables, agitators, mixers, and other washdown applications.

- NEMA 4X/IP66 enclosure for indoor or outdoor installation
- Control modes include scalar V/f, VVW voltage vector, sensorless vector, closed-loop vector with encoder, plus VVW PM for permanent magnet motors
- Heavy duty rating with 150% overload capacity for 60 seconds
- 0 to 500 Hz output frequency with 2.5 to 15 kHz adjustable switching frequency
- Internal dynamic braking transistor standard on all IP66 models (braking resistor sold separately)
- Standard CFW500-IOS module provides 4 isolated NPN/PNP digital inputs, 1 analog input and 1 analog output (0-10V, 0-20mA, or 4-20mA), 1 Form C relay output rated 240VAC/0.5A, and 1 transistor output
- Built-in 24VDC auxiliary supply rated up to 150mA
- Built-in RS485 Modbus-RTU, with optional plug-in modules for CANopen/DeviceNet, Profibus-DP, EtherNet/IP, Modbus-TCP, PROFINET IO, RS232, USB, and encoder input
- Built-in SoftPLC for custom logic and Pump Genius functions for pumping systems
- Accepts the optional CFW500-SFY2 safety module for STO and SS1-t functions, installed alongside the I/O or communication module
- Backlit keypad with main, secondary, and bar graph display lines, plus optional non-text and advanced text remote keypads
- Same programming as the CFW500-IP20 drives for consistent setup across a machine line
- Rated for -10°C to 40°C ambient, up to 50°C with output current derating, and 5-95% non-condensing humidity
