The Euchner MGB EtherNet/IP multifunctional gate box is a transponder-coded guard locking system for protecting safety doors on machines and installations. The MGB system combines the safety switch, handle and bolt, and its modular design lets the interlocking or locking module become a small operator panel with E-stop, pushbuttons and other controls. The EtherNet/IP version uses the CIP Safety protocol and an integrated EtherNet/IP switch; the MGB supplies the protocol frame with the required CIP Safety input and output bytes, and diagnostic information is provided as EtherNet/IP messages. Simple parameter setting means a replacement during service takes only a few minutes.
