The Euchner MGB-PN multifunctional gate box is a transponder-coded guard locking system for protecting safety doors on machines and installations. The MGB system combines the safety switch, handle and bolt, and its modular design lets the interlocking or locking module become a small operator panel with E-stop, pushbuttons and other controls. The PN version communicates over PROFINET with PROFIsafe, and an integrated PROFINET RT switch allows point-to-point network topology. Depending on how the control system evaluates the safe device data, the MGB-PN can be used for interlocking or guard locking.
