The Schmersal UAM safety laser scanner is a compact, lightweight 2D LiDAR presence-sensing device used to safeguard stationary and mobile applications, including robotic work cells, automated guided vehicles (AGVs), and autonomous mobile robots (AMRs). A single scanner monitors both a protection zone and a wider warning zone across a 270 degree field of view, and its small footprint allows mounting in confined spaces where a bulkier scanner would not fit.
