Add compact PSSu I/O modules for space-saving automation architectures
Description

PILZ PSSu Series PSSuniversal modules provide a scalable, modular I/O and control platform for safety-related and standard automation. Engineers can combine failsafe and standard electronic modules — digital inputs, digital outputs, relay outputs, analogue inputs and outputs, temperature inputs, encoder inputs, counter modules, and voltage distribution — on a single backplane for both PSSuniversal remote I/O systems and PSSuniversal PLC control-system architectures. Head modules and PLC head modules support SafetyNET p, PROFINET, Modbus/TCP, EtherNet/IP, CANopen, and SD card interfaces, while compact modules, base modules, bus extension components, and a full range of accessories round out the platform.

Key Features

  • Modular PSSuniversal I/O and control-system series supporting safety-related and standard automation tasks
  • Flexible combination of failsafe, standard, digital, analogue, counter, encoder, relay, supply, and communication modules in one system
  • Head and PLC modules support SafetyNET p, PROFINET, Modbus/TCP, EtherNet/IP, and CANopen communication protocols where specified
  • Electronic modules cover digital inputs/outputs, relay outputs, analogue I/O, temperature inputs, encoder inputs, counter functions, and voltage distribution
  • Base modules serve as carrier units with screw or spring-loaded terminal options, C-Rail versions, 1-row and 2-row formats, and extended-temperature variants where specified
  • Compact modules combine multiple I/O functions in a space-saving single-module footprint
  • Failsafe modules support safety performance up to PL e/SIL CL 3 where specified by the individual item and system design
  • Accessories include coding elements, end angles, terminating plates, earthing terminals, labelling strips, SD memory cards, USB cables, module bus components, and software tools
  • Item-specific specifications vary by module function, safety classification, I/O count, output current, protocol, terminal style, and accessory type
