Description

Autonics UTR Series cylindrical ultrasonic sensors are non contact distance measurement sensors designed to detect objects and measure position using high frequency ultrasonic waves. These sensors transmit ultrasonic pulses and calculate the distance to a target by measuring the time required for the sound wave to return to the sensor. Because ultrasonic sensing does not rely on reflected light, the UTR Series can detect a wide range of materials including transparent objects, metallic surfaces, powders, and liquids regardless of color, pattern, or surface finish.

The UTR Series is used in industrial automation systems for applications such as object presence detection, distance measurement, and level monitoring of liquids, solids, and powders. Advanced sensing functions help maintain accurate and stable measurements even when environmental conditions change. These cylindrical sensors are designed for demanding industrial environments and provide long sensing ranges, flexible output options, and configuration tools that simplify installation and maintenance.
