Spuds, Sweets, and Thankful Eats!

If Thanksgiving weren’t filled with so many detours—travel plans, grocery runs, recipes that needs just one more ingredient—it might slip right past us between the Halloween sugar rush and the glow of holiday lights. But here at the office, we’ve built a tradition that makes the week of Thanksgiving impossible to miss: our annual Baked Potato Lunch and Pie Contest.
Our baked potato lunch returns every November with all the classics—bacon, chives, butter, chili, sour cream—everything that makes baked potatoes delicious!
And then… there are the pies.
Every year, contestants arrive with homemade pies; no cheating with store-bought options—we’re strict on this rule. The winner this year is Caryl with her salted maple pie!
As the holiday season approaches, it’s easy to get caught up in the rush and the pressure to make everything perfect. Our Baked Potato Lunch and Pie Contest slows things down for a moment. It gives everyone space to laugh, to share, to taste, and to be grateful.
Because at the end of the day, it’s not just about the fluffiest potato or the flakiest crust. It’s about the people who show up with full plates and full hearts.
