Do You Need Any of These in Your Electrical Panel?

Do you have a sneaky, mischievous elf in your house this month? We know the kids love it, but it really puts a test on adults to keep him moving night after night. It happens; sometimes the elf is really comfy where he was the night before and stays for an extra day.

We have a curious elf around our office this year. Let's see what he's interested in.

Goodbye to the Beloved SM Vector

Earlier this year, we got the news from Lenze that the SM Vector has been discontinued. Even though this is a popular drive, Lenze put efficiency to work and streamlined their manufacturing process to deliver the replacement i500 series. No worries—the mounting is the same; however, the wiring and programming have changed. We visited the Lenze office here in Illinois, so we're prepared to help with anything you need during this transition!

Installers' Best Friend

Our elf has discovered the magic of DIN rail—and honestly, who can blame him? Engineers and technicians love using DIN rail because it keeps everything neat, organized, and easy to access. When you can snap in circuit breakers, relays, power supplies, and control modules without turning your panel into a puzzle, life gets a whole lot smoother. The elf seems impressed… or maybe he just likes how tidy it looks.

Motors on His Mind

Next, he found his way to our motors — which are packed with everything that keeps machines turning, pumping, and powering through the day. From rugged motor starters to reliable overload protection, this little guy seems fascinated by the components that bring real motion to an application. After all, even an elf knows that when a motor needs attention, quick access to the right hardware makes all the difference.

Cables, Cables Everywhere

With his interest turning cables and connectors  there are options stretching in every direction. It’s a product that can get overwhelming fast—unless the right cable management steps in. Our elf found everything from VFD cable built to handle noisy motor environments, to control cable that keeps signals clean and reliable.

With these cables routed through clean pathways and paired with the right connectors and accessories, everything stays labeled, organized, and easy to trace. No tangles, no mystery lines, no elf-sized trip hazards. He seemed especially impressed that every cable knows exactly where it’s supposed to go. We’re just hoping he doesn’t start “optimizing” anything while we’re not looking.
