The Altech TG series features an attractive, high-gloss finish and is manufactured from high quality plastics, with a choice of ABS or Polycarbonate for unsurpassed industrial quality. These high quality materials are impact and flame resistant as well as being halogen free. Rated to protection class IP 67, they are not only dustproof but also reliably protect installed electrical or electronic equipment against ingress of water during short-term submersion. The Altech TG series satisfies the most demanding applications and provides sure protection in harsh industrial environments even for highly sensitive electronics. A quick rundown on the materials used in the Altech enclosures: Only flame retardant polystyrene, ABS or glass filled polycarbonate materials are used to meet the requirements of UL94 and VDE 0471. Polycarbonate is suitable for temperatures up to 120°C (248°F), ABS is rated up to 80°C (176°F) and 70°C (158°F) for polystyrene. Polycarbonate is UV stable making it ideal for outdoor applications! |
