Please note: Our variable frequency drives have a 3 phase output and are to be used with 3 phase motors. Learn the basics about variable frequency drives here! Not the drive you were looking for? Search all of our variable frequency drives now! Teco VFD Drives are a popular way to run 3 phase motors on single phase power! Our popular Teco EV series also provides variable speed control for your motor. When running a fan cooled motor at slow speeds for extended periods of time, it's a good idea to add an external fan to the motor. It should be wired such that the connection between the motor and the VFD is not broken. The VFD should be used to reverse the motor. The Teco EV variable frequency drives is designed to operate and control 3Ø (phase) induction motors in the range of 0.25 to 3hp and voltages of 230 or 460VAC. The inverter can operate either in V/Hz or open loop vector mode settable via programming. There are two sets of parameters, F Basic and C Advanced, allowing for flexible control in many different applications. The membrane keypad, in combination with a 3 digit 7 segment display, allow for easy programming and monitoring. An optional communications module can be used for control and parameter setting using the MODBUS RTU protocol. The EV has been designed with easy access to the input power, output motor, and control terminals. Applications include mixing, fans, small conveyors, treadmills, AC contactor replacement and pumps. NEMA 4 version is great for food processing, beverage and pharmaceutical. |
