The PMI series combines innovative microcontroller design with proven inductive sensor technology to solve linear measurement applications. Sensing ranges include 80, 104 and 120 mm.

The PMI series of position measurement sensors are inductive based measurement devices that can be used to detect the position of a metal target relative to the device sensing surface. Combining inductive sensing techniques with microcontroller technology, these sensors can be used to provide analog feedback or switching point information to automation control or error proofing systems.

The Pepperl + Fuchs PMI series of position measurement sensors comes in two configurations, one for linear measurement and one for 360 degree angular measurement. The linear position sensor models are available in measurement lengths from 14mm to 360mm and can be used for analog position feedback or for simple metal target detection along a linear axis.

The PMI14V, which is the shortest device offered is ideal for compact linear measurement and detection applications. While the longest model, PMI360-F110-IU-V1 can be used for measurements or target detection along a 360 mm. linear path.

The PMI360D-F130 angle measurement sensor, applies the inductive measurement technology to an angle measurement format. This inductive ring concept can be used to provide the same reliable and proven measurement technology for angular or rotational target position detection.
